Say you've just designed a logo for someone. You're happy with the design but they make you change it in a way that you know doesn't work (we've all been there). Is it bad if I upload my version to my websites portfolio even though the real logo in use is your clients version?

Alfa Good question. I wouldn't post it. Reasons: it's not the final & viewers will be able to figure it out. People will assume that you a) aren't proud of your final work b) that you don't have the ability to convince client to make the right choice. I get it though i too have work that i just gave in to just finish the job. Suggestion: add the work to your printed portfolio to show wh

Charlie I don't see the harm in showing it in your portfolio - I always show the work that showcases my talent the best even if it wasn't the final version
Delta I'd upload your final version before the client changed it. That's an honest reflection of YOUR work and YOUR skills. You shouldn't put up work on your website that you think doesn't represent your skills and that you aren't proud of. You're shorting yourself. Just make sure you have solid reasoning as to why that logo is best as is, in case someone asks you about it in the
Echo Absolutely upload the superior design. Your portfolio shouldn't suffer from a client's poor taste. If you couldn't convince them otherwise, that's not your fault.
