How many projects should you have in your portfolio a few years out of school? Assuming you've started removing student projects.
Alfa a trillion, jk. Enough to show what you know, and not too many that it's just repetitive. Show good stuff not, so so stuff.
Bravo Right now I've got 5 or 6 great projects, the rest? Probably need to be redesigned or scrapped.
Charlie If they're more than just one mock each, that's probably decent. It's good to have at least one project that shows process.
Delta I'm a graphic designer for 11 years now and i still have one particular project that i did while studying, because the concept is strong. Mix it up, as you get more real work. 10 projects are enough. When you are invited to an interview you can always show more.
Echo I would say Its not only about the numbers. Place the ones you are most passionate about.
